Facilities and infrastructure are the main support that must exist if you have to carry out an activity, including in archery. In this discussion, we will discuss a bit about archery facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, if you’re also looking for a good crossbow scope, perhaps you need to read some crossbow scope reviews first.
Here are the facilities and infrastructure for the archery:
Field
The field for archery training is a special open field. Created along 5 meters wide lines, and separated between for men and women.
Each lane is marked with numbered pegs. Equipped with explanations, men’s shooting distances are 90 m, 70 m, 50 m, and 30 m. The range of shots of women ranging from 70 m, 60 m, 50 m, and 30 m.
Bow
The bow that is often used is made of fiberglass because it is stronger and not easily broken. But in the championship often used bows coated with fiberglass and wood. There is no official size, free depends on the wearer. Weighing no more than 14 kg.
Arrows
Good quality arrows made of aluminum. But the arrows made from aluminum are only used for the FITA Round, and may not be used for the archery communities and Traditional Rounds.
Other Equipment Tools
Armguard: usually made of thick material and legs, this tool serves to protect the arm from friction with a bowstring.
Tab or glove: i.e. a protective finger of the right hand (firing hand). Tabs should be made from rather thick leather that is not easily damaged.
Quiver: a bow pocket. There are two types, pockets attached to the waist (back quiver) and pockets that are stuck in the ground (ground quiver).
Targets or targets are usually made of straw, the surface part is made of paper, cloth or other soft materials. Targets that generally apply internationally. This target is fixed in a 15 degree tilted position, and the height of the center point of the circle (target dace) is 1.30 m above the ground.
Target Face
Face target is a circle that is divided into 5 zones. Each zone is the same width and is colored respectively: yellow, red, light blue, black and white, starting at the center of the target. Each zone is further divided into two regions which are the same width by a circle.
